Seahawk Doug Baldwin was spotted with a wrap around his left leg. According to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, Baldwin was not practicing during Monday’s training camp. No signals of a serious injury have been alarmed. If anything, it appears that the Seahawks are taking extra precaution in protecting their star.
Doug Baldwin has been an immerging star since joining the Seahawks in 2011. With the exception of the 2012 season, Baldwin has accumulated more than 770 yards every season. In recent years, Baldwin has taken a larger role eclipsing 100 catches and almost 1,000 yards every season. With the ability to break open, a high catch percentage, and being in tandem with Russell Wilson, Baldwin is set to enjoy yet another prosperous season and being selected to another pro-bowl.
With both Jimmy Graham and Paul Richardson out of the picture, Baldwin is expected to see an increase in targets and receptions. I don’t expect anything less than 114 targets, 82 catches, and over 1,000 yards receiving. With the Seahawks wanting to get the ground game going again, assume that Baldwin will be on track for at least another 8 – 10 touchdowns this season.
