It appears that Seahawk Doug Baldwin is expected to miss all of pre-season with a leg ailment. According to Adam Schefter and Field Yates of ESPN, Baldwin has injured his knee.
Baldwin has been known to give his all for the Seahawks, but with this type of injury, it would be wise for him to sit out. Doctors are still unsure how or when the injury occurred. During a press conference Tuesday, Pete Carroll downplayed the injury, calling it a “sore knee.” Doctors are still ordering Baldwin to rest before they re-evaluate the knee later this month. It is unsure as of now if he will be ready for week 1 of the regular season.
Baldwin is the top wide receiver on the team. With him out, they will have to rely on Tyler Lockett and Brandon Marshall to step up. With Jimmy Graham out of the picture, the Seahawks will need their running game more than ever if he isn’t available to start the season. The Seahawks are scheduled to start their campaign September 9 against the Denver Broncos. During the 2017 season, the Broncos finished 5 – 11, 4th in the AFC West.
